A beautiful and powerful painting on cardboard which capture all the passion and emotion between two fighters. The backboard of the frame was covered in canvas to represent the floor of the boxing ring.
This subject was revisited by Neate in 2012 when he painted THE BOXERS as one of a series of wooden Dimensional Paintings, along with THE CYCLISTS and THE RUNNERS.
