ADAM NEATE REVOLVING DOOR elmslesters

A complex composition which shows a young man pushing into the revolving door. Symbolic of the passing of time, the emerging man is older and wiser.

Neate used Perspex in his most narrative form to date in this painting; the figures entirely made from heated and bent acrylic sheets. Although more literal in ‘REVOLVING DOOR’, the faces of the figures are reminiscent of those Neate used in ‘THE RIOTERS’ in the exhibition ‘A NEW UNDERSTANDING’ in 2009
